Built By Those Who Came Before
The Derby Football Hall of Fame is not a list. It's a legacy. To be a Panther Legend is to have shaped the standard that every player in a Derby helmet is measured against today. The traditions we protect, the values we teach, and the culture that fills Panther Stadium on Friday nights — all of it was built by these men and many more.
Derby, Kansas is a rare kind of community. It's a community where the barber knows your son's jersey number, where alumni come home for homecoming, where three generations of a family have worn the same colors. Football here isn't a sport we play — it's a story we all belong to. Our Legends are the authors of that story.
Countless Derby greats have stepped onto the field at Panther Stadium. Many became state champions. Some played on Saturdays and Sundays. Others coached, mentored, donated, and gave their time so the next generation of Panthers would have more than they did. Every one of them, in their own way, was the best of the best.

Once a year, we come home. The Legends Banquet is the night Derby stops and honors the men who built this program — inducting a new Hall of Fame class, reconnecting alumni, and welcoming the next generation of Panthers into the tradition.
Community members, families, alumni, current players, and future alumni — this night is for all of us. If you've ever worn the green, cheered from the stands, or dreamed of running out of that tunnel, you have a seat at the table.
